Qualcomm’s state-of-the-art Quick Charge ™ technology includes the ability to transfer power to charge mobile device batteries with power beyond the standard USB port specification. Provides fast charge in gentle mode, allowing to extend the battery life.
The QC 2.0 specification provides an increase in the voltage on the supply line (D + / D-) to 9V, 12V and 20V, after exchanging matching data with the charging device. If the device does not support the protocol, the charger supplies a voltage of 5V, corresponding to the standard USB protocol.
The expanded QC 3.0 specification has the ability to adjust the voltage across the load in the range from 3.6V to 20V upon request from a rechargeable device in 0.2V increments. Thus, Quick Charge ™ technology allows you to increase the charge time by 75% when working on the specification of QC 2.0.
Using QC 3.0 speeds up the charge by another 40%. The maximum charge power is 18 watts.
The proposed USB charging module with support for Qualcomm QC3.0 QC2.0 (Step Down) technology MH-KC24 operates in the input voltage range from 6 to 32 Volts, with protection against insufficient input voltage. The default output voltage is 5 V, after exchanging data and turning on fast charging, the output voltage is automatically set in the range from 3 V to 12 V.
The maximum output power is 24 watts. Efficiency from 90% to 97%, depending on the operating mode of the converter. Protection against overcurrent, short circuit and overheating.
